2708.0. "Concerts of interest to COMMUSICians" by PENUTS::HNELSON (Hoyt 275-3407 C/RDB/SQL/X/Motif) Tue Aug 27 1991 16:43

    I can't believe there isn't a CONCERTS OF INTEREST TO COMMUSICIANS
    topic.

    Kraftwerk is performing at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston at
    7:30 on September 21. Tickets through TicketShafter are about $25 by
    the time the various charges are added.

    I have just acquired a *new* Kraftwerk CD, by the way. Apparently it's
    old material resequenced. I like it! It's much more purely synth stuff
    than anything else.

2708.1Concert at Reading, U.K. on 14-SEP-91MAJORS::SPENCEBugs? You mean insects?Mon Sep 02 1991 12:2717
Well I'm glad someone else started this topic instead of me - I feel less guilty
about putting this in...

For anyone who is within travelling distance of Reading, U.K. on 14th September,
my band (Blade) is doing a concert at the South Reading Leisure Centre on
Northumberland Avenue, starting at 7:30. Price is 2.50, concessions 1.50.
We use live guitars (electric, acoustic) + vocals, and the drums, bass and most
of the keyboards are sequenced using C-Lab Creator.

I've done a couple of concerts so far using this set-up and it works
extremely well. Mind you, I'm probably a little biased...

And...the Atari has *never* crashed during a concert (yet!)...

2708.2kind suggestion...RICKS::NORCROSSMitch Norcross, SEG/AFL/SystemsThu Sep 05 1991 15:117
I'm not a moderator, but I can't resist suggesting that there is already
a topic for announcing "Concerts of interest to COMMUSICians" - it's
called "Conference Bulliten Board", topic #8. Unless of course you meant
to discuss performance issues, in which case there are other topics on
that subject. Just a suggestion.

2708.3Kraftwerk Tour Cancelled?RGB::ROSTBusking for bucksThu Sep 05 1991 15:1610
    Re: .0

    Story on USENET is that the Kraftwerk tour is cancelled. Rumors of the
    death of one of the band members are flying about unconfirmed. Ticket
    Master is not selling any more tickets until further notice according
    to one USENET correspondent who tried to get some.

    Stay tuned.

	RE: Mitch

	I thought the same at first. I now think that this
	is a place to put concerts by established or known bands
	that might be of interest while the bulletin board might
	be used for PR for your own bands dates.
