A friend of mine would like to buy his first synthesizer, and he's looking for the following : - a book where he could find some guidelines on what he needs to know before investing a huge amount of money, and to avoid bad surprises - a catalogue (if any) about the synthesizers available today on the market, and a comparison of their most important features. I heard that KEYBOARD mag has produced one (Hal Leonard Publishing, GPI publications), but in 1988...Does anybody know it ? Is it still worthwile getting it ? Is there an update ? Thanks in advance for any help Christian

The annual Keyboard Mag Buyers Guide in pretty good. It compares keyboard size, feel, polyphony, filtering, etc. between synths. Quotes only list prices. Contact the mag for a back issue. RichC | |||||
