    I got Band-in-a-Box software for my Macintosh and the Casio cheap-o MIDI
saxophone toy (DH-100, I think). I'm hoping that Band-in-a-Box will make it
quicker for me to contribute to future COMMUSIC tapes and that the Casio will
cause me to re-establish whatever flute/sax playing ability I once had. Combine
these with the bagpipe samples I recently acquired for my EPS and I should be
able to reduce my neighborhood's property value at will.

    Big Karl gave Little Karl and his pet recording studio a Roland SPD8
    percussion pad unit.

    Little Karl got bright orange drumsticks with which to strike the
    inoffensive beastie.

2533.3A nice little Roland !BROKE::RAKOWSKIConfused, curious and chaotic....Fri Dec 28 1990 11:2522

    From a mostly reader of this conference... as the economy hasn't
    treated the family well enough for me to get "exotic gear"...

    I was throughly pleased to get my Roland D-5... It has been absorbing
    my fingers ever since !!!

    This will start the "real" collection of musical items in the living
    room... Hopefully the Amiga Computer will come back happy and with it's
    new motherboard in place (never move your stuff... it causes havoc to
    run wild through your goodies !)

    I hooked the D-5 to my Kawai and .... nice sounds came out of my
    speakers 8-)

    I'll be looking for anything you guys can offer to help get me deeper
    into my musical concoctions !

    				(yes... women DO do midi also...
    				 as well as drums, vocals and guitar!)
2533.4Who's a clever Santa then !!WARNUT::KAYDWORM-mode noterWed Jan 02 1991 03:5310
My beloved was kind enough to ensure that Santa brought me a DD-5 drum thing
and a mono monitor for my ST - however did she know ;-)

The only thing stopping me now is the fact that I *still* don't have a room
in which to set everything up ! Oh well, only the bathroom left to decorate
before the music room gets started :-(

Happy New Year,

Derek
2533.5I think I can help, Derek...DELNI::SMCCONNELLNext year, in JERUSALEM!Fri Jan 04 1991 00:558
    Derek (and anyone with the same tragic space problem he has),

    Though it would be a great sacrifice on my part, I will gladly donate
    the space to set up your gear in my house.

    Really. And I'd do it for free.

Hmm, let me see. DELNI is in Littleton isn't it ??

Anyone have a 3000-mile long MIDI lead :-)

Cheers,

    Derek.
