2411.1 | HS-8 user with Notator | GVA01::JOHNSTONE | | Mon Aug 13 1990 07:57 | 10 |
| Ken, it's Ken!
I've just done something similar with my HS-8. In April I bought
an Atari 1040 and Notator from C-Labs. This does every thing you
mention, except I haven't figured out how to do registration or
sequence dumps from the organ to the pc.
Good luck with project.

2411.2 | PC Music card is one answer | SAURUS::KAI | | Mon Aug 13 1990 15:24 | 10 |
| IBM has a card that plug into PC that will allow you to do what you
want. The card was designed and built by Yamaha and has basically has
the guts as an FB-01 with preamplifier and a MIDI interface built in
that would allow you to talk to other MIDI equipments. By running
some music application software on the PC, it allows you to do a lot
of fancy things, including what you want to do. If you are interest
in finding out more info on the card. Send me a message directly and
I will provide more.

2411.3 | Music Studio 3.0 | VULCAN::SMITH | | Fri Aug 17 1990 07:44 | 11 |
| If you are in the UK, Datel Electronics in Stoke-on-Trent, supply
a product called Music Studio 3.0 which consists of a MIDI interface
card will a lot of software already on it, plus 3 floppy disks
containing the rest of the software. I use it on a HS-4 and previously
used it on a HE-6. It's very easy to use and will do live recordings
and playback. It costs 99 quid. I'm located at the Solent Business
Park office but live in Stafford, so depending on where you are
you might like to try it.
