2398.1 | In Japan, it costs about $1333 . | TKTV20::SHINKADO | ACAPPELLA | Fri Aug 10 1990 06:03 | 9 |

Hi. I'm afraid it's not so effective, but TG77 is 200,000 yen in Japan.
Now, $1 is about 150 yen, so about $1333. But I'm not sure about taxes
or other costs. Anyway not so cheap for me.

2398.2 | only 1333 ?!? | PAULUS::BAUER | Richard Bauer ISE Localization Center Frankfurt | Mon Aug 13 1990 07:03 | 9 |
| Hi Hiro !
1333$ ?!?!?!? 1$ is roughly 1.60 DM, so that is 2132 DM, which is just a bit
more than Roland U220. Oh, if it would be like that I would buy one, but I
suspect it will be around 3300 DM, which is a lot les attractive.... :-)
But thanks anyway !!!

2398.3 | You should buy in Japan ! | TKTV20::SHINKADO | ACAPPELLA | Tue Aug 14 1990 20:51 | 25 |
| Hi, Richard.
> "Richard Bauer ISE Localization Center Frankfurt" >>>
I'm sorry, I misunderstood you're in the states.
Frankfurt is in Denmark, right ? I'm sorry if I'm wrong.
I'll add more information. U-220 is 110,000 yen, so 1 dollar is
about 150 yen now, then 733 dollars. Then 1 dollar is 1.60 DM,
so U-220 is about 1173 DM.
And also it is usual to ask discount. Well, normally 20% off.
(Of course new one, I mean not used one.) I'll buy U-220 soon.
So, you just pay 1705 DM for TG77 and 586 DM for U-220 in Japan.
If you have a chance to visit Japan on business or sightseeing,
you Should buy your favourites. I'll tell you the good shop.
Anyway, let's save some money at first, right ?
Thanks for your reading my poor reply.

Yes, but they do occasionally eat Frankfurters in Denmark (ie. hot
dogs), so this must relate to the confusion.
