| Happy Holidays. I'll just be home making auto music that sounds
like sleight bells (the family is 3000mi away in LA and Mass
friends are all out of town for the duration).
Hey, don't panic, it's only a 3-day weekend.

Yes, Merry Christmas COMMUSICers - I don't expect any new gear for Christmas,
but there's always that slim chance that I'll get....
Money! The next best thing..
But even if I don't, have a great holiday everyone!

I'll be back Jan 2. Vacation time!!!! Now I can play with my studio
for a couple of days.
I just spent the past couple of days making four-part Christmas
carols on the sequencer. Instrumentation: Trumpet, Oboe, Clarinet,
Trombone. Sounds like my family playing carols after too many drinks.
Strung together, it's the longest sequence I ever made. > 22 minutes.
What fun.

I managed to both at the same time ... a "family tradition" of me
bring whatever MIDI/keyboard gear I have "home for the holidays"
and playing Christmas carols, etc. This year, my (KORG) T2 arrived
just a couple of days before Christmas, so this Carol-playing for
family was also, for me, "figure this thing out and what/where some of
the sounds are!", etc. It was a merry Christmas!
-Jim
P.S. A big "hit" amongst my family this year was "Grandma Got Run
Over by a Reindeer" ...

2211.11 | Kurzweil for the Holidays! | NRADM::KARL | It's computerized, no thing c,an go wrong nothing c an g | Tue Dec 26 1989 11:16 | 20 |
| Well, I got myself a Kurzweil 1000 PX Plus a few days before Christmas,
so that was a great present to myself! I didn't get a chance to
crack open the box, though, with all the other merry making and
relatives visiting, etc.!
By the way - I got the last one from E. U. Wurlitzers in Boston,
and I called Kurzweil last week, and the the customer service rep
said that whats out there is it. I wonder why they had a big ad
for them in a recent Keyboard?
Anyway, if anyone wants to get themselves a late "present", Caruso's
in New London, CT, has one coming in, and they also have one or
two of the old 1000 PXs coming in (they were returns to Kurzweil).
Prices were around $1,295 and $995 respectively. I think Acton Music
has a PX Plus, and E. U. Wurlitser's in Boston has 1000 PX with
the A block installed for around $1,295.
I'm glad I finally got one of these!
