I watched the PBS television program NOVA last night. The title of the show was "What is Music". It was an excellent program, that members of this conference would surely be interested in. Some of the topics: (I've named them myself, but you get the idea) Technical secrets of Violins of the masters. Woods of Venice Gemstome varnish Conversations with the composer of "Switched On Bach" Early moogs shown What makes music Musical (timing and expressiveness) Brain synthesized melody. The multi-cultural language and waveforms of emotion. 17 century synthesizers (pipe organs) I recommend this show. Check your TV Guide, there are typically multiple broadcasts. Rick

Just wundrin if they made mention of a fella named Ray Legnini on the program? He is an old jammin' buddy, who from time to time does the soundtracks for Nova. He is the resident Synclavier operator at studio 4 in downtown Philadelphia. I have not heard from him in a while, and I am wondering if he is still involved in the Nova soundtracks.
