| | I don't know of any boxes that contain FX and NR.

For under $500 you've got lots of options for effects. Alesis, Roland
and Yamaha all make multi-effects boxes that will not only give you
reverb, but chorusing, delay and eq as well.

The Alesis Quadraverb is a hot little box. Or you could get a MIDIVerb
II and still have over $200 to blow on NR.

| | If you're having trouble with noise, turn off the internal reverb in
the U110 - the signal path is not the cleanest in the world.
There are LOTS of topics on effects - use keyword EFFECTS to find these
topics - and lots of units less than $500. Note 1535 might give
    you a good start.
In addition to the Alesis MIDIVERB II and Quadraverb, there is also a
new unit called the MIDIVERB III which allows you to chain up to 3 FX
at a time (but the settings are pretty "preset" in nature). The
Quadraverb is a nice box, but the reverb algorithms sound an awful lot
alike to my ears (and I own one).
You should be looking at around $225, $325, and $399 for MIDIVERB II,
MIDIVERB III and Quadraverb, respectively. That oughta be a good
    start.

| | If you look around, you can probably find a used Roland SRV-2000
for around $300. Though "dated" by most technological standards,
it's a fabulous sounding unit that sold for $1500 when new.
See the "reverb-o-rama" note somewhere in this conference.
