Hi All, I have a very old early 60's Pianet-N (electric) made by Honer and have been looking for a kit to rebuild it. The striker pads are no longer functional. They have dried and cracked and half of them have fallen apart. I have been looking for a couple of months for a kit and no luck. Honer at this time is out of them and they don't make'em any more. About the only chance I have of finding a kit would be to find one under a pile of dust somewhere on the back of someones shelf. Is there anybody out there that can help me out on this. I really hate to retire the old beauty, it has such a nice sound it would be a shame. I'd really appricate it if smoeone can give me a lead of anything that would help me find a kit. Please send mail to: MPGS::RjPelletier or call days (afternoon) 508-342-0511 Thanks Roger

You could probably cut replacement pads from a sheet of a similar plastic or rubber material. Which you might be able to find in a good hobby shop, fabric store, sporting goods store (sorbothane?) or even carpet center (padding for indoor/outdoor carpet?). I'm probably going to have to do this when I run out of spare strikers for my Clavinet. Actually, the Clavinet strikers seem similar to pencil eraser material! BTW, what's the number for Hohner U.S.? I need the damper assembly. Maybe they still have those. Eirikur |
