| I just received as a gift (ha ha) a Casio SK-2100 (sampling) keyboard.
It would have been a better gift if it worked, but hey... I have
a sense of humor! ;^)
The main problem was that the original owner left all 6 "D" cells in
the unit for over two years and battery acid leaked all over the pwb's!
I was able to clean up 99% of the mess and I can actually get
everything to work... kinda anyway. The volume (it has self contained
stereo speakers) is barely audible and only one channel (right side)
works, altho I was told that the left channel hasn't worked for
a year. I hooked up an external amp and found that the left channel
was still dead. The right channel worked (with the ext. amp), but
had alot of static to go along with it.
I have no prints for this unit and have no idea where to turn
to get it repaired.
My question:
Is there a CASIO service center anywhere in the N.H./Mass.
area I can call for prints and/or service?
Thanks in advance,
Fred (the proud (?) owner of a dead Casio SK-2100)
