Hi Francis,

We need more information about your pedal needs. There are a wide variety
of pedals available from different manufacturers. Pedals used for volume
control or other parameter variations have a potentiometer. Sustain pedals
are typically a switch, which may be normally open or normally closed
depending upon the type of synth you are using. If you are looking for
dual pedals, Ensoniq has a nice one. Sustain pedals may either be "piano
style" or just a little square box. I prefer the piano style. Effects
pedals, typically used for guitars, come in hundreds of flavors. Can you
be a little more specific about your needs?

2016.6Elka DMP-18 pedalboardFGVAXX::LAINGSoft-Core-Cuddler*Jim Laing*261-2194Fri Jun 09 1989 20:3318
I have been using an Elka DMP-18, an 18-note pedalboard, for about
3 months; it has worked flawlessly! It's designed something like
a "spinet organ" pedalboard, except that it has 18 notes, which
is a lot better (to me) than "only" 13. It can be set up to be
velocity sensitive ... you'd be surprised, but your feet CAN learn
to control using more or less velocity! Useful for a sound like
Tympani playing alternating "root-fifth" in a classical piece, etc.

There are other pedalboards around, but I found it was difficult
to find one! There is one called the "MidiStep" which is 13 notes.

Hope this helps! Feel free to send me MAIL if you want more info
    on the DMP-18 ...

    	-Jim

P.S. I should mention that the DMP-18 is only a MIDI controller,
you connect it to your synth or SGU like any other controller ...
