2001.0. "technology anecdote" by HJUXB::LEGA (Bug Busters Incorporated) Sun May 21 1989 10:20
I saw T. Lavitz (keyboardist for the Dregs. Ensoniq endorser)
at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick NJ, last night.
Its a real dive. Anyway, he was hanging out at the packed bar
while the warm up band played. He was acting very protective
of this killer executive briefcase. Someone knocked the brief
case to the floor, he had this totally freaked out look.
We began to wonder what was in there, becuase he was really
pale.
Finally when his set was starting, he opened up the case
and gingerly pulled out a hard drive for his EPS. I was
amused, if that drive didn't boot, he would have a fun time.
My friend and I were pretty amazed about how over the
last few years, technology has changed and things like this
are probably common place.
Anyway, We heard lots of fusion on the new VFX and
a totally loaded EPS. He played with a bass player (friend of my
friend), and a drummer. No sequences, mixed dry.
It was really good. T. Lavitz is coming out with an album
soon. I plan to get it.
