Can't verify the rumour, but it's plausible. CMI Fairlight was for
sale, and I wouldn't be real surprised if Yammy bought it.

Didn't someone post a note earlier about Fairlight going bankrupt?
Maybe I read it in Keyboard.
And maybe that's why the V80 got scrapped.
