    So it would seem like this would be THE time to buy Yamaha.
    
    If the dealer pays $nnn for a piece of hardware, I would assume
    that Yamaha Inc. will buy it back for no more than $nnn. So the
    dealer should be happy to sell it to me for $nnn+ *anything*, yes?

    + *anything* ??? well almost. One of the guys is the band just picked
    up a Yahahahah power amp (model ?) for an extremely great price.
    This was at Daddy's in Nashua. Also picked up dome great monitors.
    They ended up getting about 40% off Daddy's ticketed price.
    
    I guess it is bargain time. 
    
    BTW..what is with Y* lately? No more ideas for new products?

Sorry, from what I understand, they aren't cutting any more deals for
y* stuff.  However, call to find out if you really are looking for
a y* product.

    Does anyone know if Daddy's in Shrewsbury even got any Yamaha stuff

    The only Y-stuff in Shrewsbury was used.  They had a DX21, a DX27,
    a QX7/21, a drum box or two.  Also some ancient guitar amps.

Of course they should still carry used Y*.  I'll confirm that and find out more
at lunch when I go to the Nashua store to borrow the last TX16W disks before
they get old back.

    Shrewsbury's Daddy's is right next to Leiser Sound on Rte. 9.  They
    just opened a week ago.  
    
    

They are still going to cut deals on Y* stuff until Yamaha actually has taken
the stuff back.  They are only getting their cost back from Yamaha so they
are more than willing to cut deals.  Tim in Nashua told me that they are ready
to make some really good deals (whatever that means) because it is still more
than they will get back.  He said by the start of the new month it will probably
be already sold back to Yamaha so if you want something, start cutting a deal!

	I just called;  RX-7 is $595, claimed list of  ~$1,000;  
	KM802 is $279 (was $315 when I looked about a month ago)

The RX-7 has that price on it in the store now.  If you were to go in and 
seriously want something you could probably do better.  I dunno.  I can't
afford anything more

    Gee, I stopped by the Nashua store last night and couldn't talk them
    down below $1000 for the KX88 demo unit they have.  Actually, I
    was quoted $1295 as the best they could do.  Tim wasn't there....
    The regular price sticker on the thing reads $1495 :-(

Actuall, 1000 for a KX88 demo unit isn't that bad.  Sam Ash a few weeks agi
wanted 1297 for a new one.

I just got back from there (Nashua store).  They had a TX802 for sale.
Just give them a call.  They also had a TX16W, as well as 4-op synths
(DS55, *200), PA equipment, and consumer stuff.  Also various RX and QX
stuff.
