    RAMSA WP-9055 single rack 50W + 50W/8 ohms 2 channel power amplifier.
    I've been using one for my home studio for about 1 and 1/2 years. I
    like it alot. I use it to drive my JBL 4308's for monitoring and as my
    studio synth amp. Very clean. (rated at THD 0.05 or less, for 8 ohm
    load 20Hz to 20kHz) I paid around $300 for it. Here are some of the
    specs.

    * 50W + 50W (RMS) in 2 channel mode. (THD <= 0.05 8 ohms 20Hz to 20kHz)

    * 100W (RMS) in bridge mono mode. (THD <= 0.05 16 ohms 20Hz to 20kHz)

    * Electronic balanced circuits.

    * Single Rack space.

    * XLR-type (female) and 1/4" TRS phone jack inputs.

    * Remote monitor outputs provided on each channel.(Optional 4-pin nylon
    connector needed)

    * VI-type energy limiter protection. (voltage/current sensing
    protection circuit)

    * Dimensions: 18-7/8"(W) x 2-5/16"(H) x 13-1/8"(D)

    * Weight: approx. 19 lbs.

Second the RAMSA. Very clean. However, the price has gone up
recently. I think they can be had for about $395. I got mine
from Star Systems in Methuen (now part of The Music Workshop (?)
in Salem, NH).

| 1922.5 | Carver PM-100 - like it so far! | FGVAXX::LAING | Soft-Core-Cuddler*Jim Laing*261-2194 | Mon Jul 10 1989 15:08 | 6 |
|  |     I bought the Carver PM-100 about a month ago; paid $525 at Steve's
    Quality in Danvers, Mass. So far, I like it a lot: small, lightweight
    and PLENTY of power (For my needs). Have used it for DJ work as
    well as keyboard gigs ...
