I looked around the notesfile and I haven't seen anything on the TASCAM PORTA 05. Daddy's is having a sale and I was thinking of buying one. Anyone have any experiences with the PORTA 05? Dana

Try the "four-track shoutout" note (05 recommended for price, along
with Fostex X30).

I've had a Porta 05 for approx a year now. Works great , sounds
good, never a problem!. I paid $375 at Manny's in N.Y.C..

For more info, try doing a DIR/TITL="TRACK" or "TAPE". There are lots
of topics in here on this, although I doubt that one is dedicated to
the Porta 5.
