Has anyone out there had any experience with an AMR64 or an AMR42? The AMR64 is a 4-track with a separate 6 channel mixer and the 42 has a 4 channel mixer. How do these compare to other decks? Any and all info appreciated. Guy

AMR64 is a 4/track with a cassette format. It has Dolby B and C and a 6x4x2 stand alone mixer, which means its great for mixing and recording live gigs. Dual frequency EQ, Peak and dip at selectable high and low frequencys, or high pass filter for the bass and shelving for the highs. All four tracks can be recorded at once, dual tapeing speeds, Phantom power, dual effect sends, +4dbm to feed the amps with up to +18dbm of head room before clipping, solo for each channel and sub, a built in beefy headphone amp, insert points to each channel, and XLR connectors for each channel and sub. I bought this guy about a week ago so I really don't no the final results of the recorder section. Thats why I was wondering if anybody out there has one, to fill me in. Mike____
1739.4 | AMR = Peavey | AQUA::ROST | You've got to stop your pleading | Thu Nov 03 1988 11:45 | 10 |
The dual speeds is a new feature. The earliest AMR machines were 1-7/8 ips only. I've seen recent pictures and they have done some cosmetic changes but kept the same model designation. AMR stands for Audio Media Research. It is a division of Peavey. How much did you pay, and where??
1739.5 | Wrong Acronym | ELWOOD::CAPOZZO | Thu Nov 03 1988 12:54 | 4
sorrrrry my mistake, like I stated I just got it a week ago and I purchased it used (6 months old). Its not a AMR64 buy Audio Media Reseach, its AT-RM64 By Audio Technica. I was confused by the acronym. Anyone know about this one?? |
