1724.0. "Simmons SPM8 mixer" by MARVIN::MACHIN () Mon Oct 17 1988 05:52
The Soundhouse in London is flogging off Simmons SPM-8 mixers
relatively cheap. Anyone know anything good or bad about them?
They're 8 channel mixers with program change over midi.
They have bass, mid, treb, fx1, fx2, pan and lfo sweep per channel.
64 patch memory, batery backup.
Main thing is, they're reduced from 699 to 229!
Where's the catch? (I've used enough midi stuff to know there's
*always* a catch; you discover it just before, or two weeks after
you buy).
Richard.

| My search just fired and I saw 1654 on the SPM8. But any further
info would be appreciated.

| Consensus has it that they are mighty fine to use, but they are
noisy (a killer for mixers).
