1692.8 | Already Got A Logue Drum in my JX-10 | DRUMS::FEHSKENS | | Tue Sep 27 1988 12:17 | 19 |
| How much memory does this conference come with?
What I wanna know is, can I sample a coupla crash cymbals into it?
Also, will it take SysEx dumps from my Roland synths?
But most important, will it suppress envelope retriggers in MONO
mode on legato lines?
I got about $10 left after tomorrow's LERDS-BIM. Will that be enough?
Is the warranty still good?
Does it come with the user's manual?
And how many miles per gallon will I get?

> How much memory does this conference come with?
No-one remembers.
> What I wanna know is, can I sample a coupla crash cymbals into it?
Depends. How big are they? 20" takes more memory than 18"...
> Also, will it take SysEx dumps from my Roland synths?
If it takes this grief from me a JX10 should be no problem...
> But most important, will it suppress envelope retriggers in MONO
> mode on legato lines?
This conference randomly triggers random events. Basically, we
don't know what it will do...
> I got about $10 left after tomorrow's LERDS-BIM. Will that be enough?
You'll be able to buy me a drink...
> Is the warranty still good?
When was it good to begin with?
> Does it come with the user's manual?
Yep, written in Roland-ese. (Read: NO!)
> And how many miles per gallon will I get?
Your mileage may vary.

1692.10 | Surely You Can Do Something With This? | DRUMS::FEHSKENS | | Tue Sep 27 1988 12:35 | 9 |
| Lesse, my acoustic setup had 4 crashes, 2 16", and 2 18". So I
guess I need 2 * pi * (16/2)^2 + 2 * pi * (18/2)^2 = 2 * pi * (64+81)
= 290*pi square inches of memory.
How much does an additional square foot of meory cost? And can
I get a brilliant finish?

You're pretty much stuck with.
By the way, does it have rack mount ears?
