It's time for me to start writing in this conference again. For those
of you with home computers, there's a BBS (Bulletin Board System)
called MIDI-ST that has an incredible wealth of files online including
public domain software for several types of computers, text patches for
synths, and tons of other stuff. I just started actively accessing the
BBS a couple of days ago and have downloaded a listing of the files
contained therein, which I'll include here after the form feed. To
access the BBS, call (614) 848-5947 -- you'll be asked to give your
name, address, phone number, etc., and after you've been validated (a
24-hour process in my case), you'll have 45 minutes with which to read
and write messages, access files, or whatever. There's no charge
involved in accessing the BBS (except for the phone call, of course).
