Saw and interesting ad about the Panasonic SV-250 portable DAT recorder.

Now, why post this here? Well, I'm wondering if this is signaling
that maybe DAT is becoming more accessible. Don't know what this
lists for ... How soon before we can start leasing DAT recorders
for our own home studio recordings? Guesses?
