1607.0. "New Commusic tape director sought" by DREGS::BLICKSTEIN (Yo!) Tue Aug 09 1988 11:22

For a wide variety of reasons, I have decided to "resign" as
    "Commusic tape person".

I've done 3 tapes. Basically, it's time for new blood.

    Volunteers can apply here.

1607.1VOLUNTEER...OASS::SIMPSONTue Aug 09 1988 12:2411
    Dave,

I'd like to volunteer. I cannot handle the wide variety of tape
productions you can however. I can handle tapes with no noise
reduction, dolby B, dolby C, and DBX.

If no one else volunteers who you feel would be better, I'd be happy
    to try it.

I will volunteer also, although I am in a somewhat more remote
location. Shouldn't be a problem with USMail being what it is. I
    can accept the following media:

     reel or track
Cassette w/DBX type II, dolby B or C (or no nr)
    4 track w/DBX type II, Tascam/Yamaha "standard"
    VHS Hifi

Yes I know what I'm getting myself into.

Do the volunteers have any plans yet?

Will there be a COMMUSIC VI?

Since I haven't been contacted by anyone yet, I have no plans.

I would imagine we could have a commusic vi if we could get ourselves
past these burning issues of protection...

That's funny, I havn't contacted anyone, because no plans were put forth.

:-) just kidding.

Did you mean contacted by potential submittor's, or by db?

Where do I send my tape of original non-copyright material FOR DISTRIBUTION?

> Where do I send my tape of original non-copyright material FOR DISTRIBUTION?>

Of course, what I meant was, "where do I send my COMMUSIC contribution to?".

I assume that the volunteers are willing to compile tapes of
original non-copyright material which the contributors specifically want
to be distributed.

I assume db... maybe it's not a valid assumption?

I reiterate... I don't mind doing this. I'm not too keen on getting
so godawful formal as to drive it into the ground however.

      Right on, I think....

Don't send it to me. My lawyer's will deny ever receiving it. ;-)

Paul, if you are seeking an "official appointment" of the new moderator
well... I guess I did realize that I was supposed to pick the new
    one.

Therefore by the powers vested in my by Paul J. Harriman, I hereby
appoint Paul J. Harriman to the official position of Commusic tape
director with all the privileges, hassles, headaches and liabilities
    entitled to said position.

I guess I'd better get my act together and set up for VI.

    I'll prepare a statement. ;^)

    db,
I assume you are still filling requests for CM-V?

    Rodney M.
1607.18Yep, still filling requests for Commusic tapesDREGS::BLICKSTEINYo!Tue Aug 23 1988 13:567
Yep. In fact, have a small stock-pile of tapes due to the unexpected
    low level of ordering.

In fact, I "am" and "plan to" be filling orders for Commusic III-V
    in perpetua.
