technologies run hot. You still need to remove the heat.
Question youre asking is really: Is hot normal for DX7.

It wont run hot for long.

| The hot spot is normal. As we all know, DX7s really smoke! The
components are far enough away from the transformer that it's no
problem.
Mine has run like that for three years, with no failures.

Thats why they put the transformer there, right under where you'd
place a cool beer. They're counting on you to provide the liquid
cooling, dammed clever if Y'ask me, but you didn't.

it should be obvious that it is a built-in Sake warmer!
...could be quite a selling point in some circles, and
come to think of it, its not a bad idea at all...
