There are two that I know of. The first is called the IVM MegaBank.
It adds one meg of ram for 8 upper and lower sounds in addition
to the one the machine normally holds. Provides instant access to
all nine banks from the keypad. Expands sequencer memory to 1333
notes and has an external power supply. $399.95 from Indian Valley
Manufacturing, 69 Madison Ave. Telford, PA. 18969. (215) 723-3210.
The second is called Sample MME and adds 5 upper and 5 lower and
has NO external power supply. $249.95 from Virtual Engineering
Corp. 2004 Fernwood Road, Victoria, B.C. Canada V8T 2Y9. (604) 537-
2476. I was very interested in one of these, but a dealer I was
talking to told me to wait. He said Ensoniq would be coming out
with one sometime after NAMM. Haven't heard anything yet.

| I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Edgar Nunez at Daddy's in
Salem NH last night. He was up from Puerto Rico for one day only, and
I happened to notice his badge when I was at Daddy's trying out some
K-Muse discs. Kinda neat meeting a noter unexpectedly like that,
especially one who lives far away.
Anyway, we both were talking to the salesman about the IVL MegaBank,
and expressed reservations because of the steep price of this package.
Does anyone out there have it, or tried a Mirage with this package
installed? Is the access to the nine sounds really instantaneous
(i.e. with the push of a single button on the keypad), or does it
require pushing a sequence of several buttons (which can take a
couple of seconds)? Just how easy is it to use, and does the external
power supply cause any problems or hassles?
