For those of you that have already contacted me (or were going to)
about getting in on the group purchase for Jan/Feb, I just found out
that Yamaha is raising the price on all their equipment 5%. e.g. DX7
will now retail for ~2100. Lets hear it for supply and demand and GREED!
If you were planning to get Yamaha Equipment,,,Call me now and make
arangements before the first of the year as the prices we got on the
last buy are only good until then. After 1/1/86 they ---->up!

The group just did it's thing for Cornell Univ. with about
a 8-10k order. If you need something Yamaha,,,Dont wait...CALL!!!!

It is probably due to the change in the exchange rate
between the dollar and the yen.

On the other hand, even if it was pure greed I wouldn't blame
them. They make some fine products.

I realize this is probably a bit dated but, if I may, just how
much does a DX-7 end up costing ?

In Atlanta, you can buy one for 1495.00, can you beat that ?
If so, how can I purchase one from your group or whatever ?

Thanks

Jim

I haven't seen it advertised for less than $1995.

LaSalle's in Boston (ph. 617-536-0066) seems to have some good deals lately
on Yamaha.

	DX7-S $1049.00 - $50.00 rebate = $ 999.00
	DX7-IID $1525.00 - $75.00 rebate = $1450.00
	DX7-IIFD $1725.00 -$100.00 rebate = $1625.00
	SPX-90(II) $ 599.00

The rebates just about cover the Mass sales tax! The salesman was a little
evasive on this, but I think these prices are only good until Dec. 31.
