121.0. "Hagstrom Patch 2000 Guitar Synthesizer" by DYO780::SCHAFER () Fri Jul 26 1985 16:42

Hello ...

Have any of you ever heard of the (ancient) Hagstrom Patch 2000
     guitar synthesizer interface??

I'm a synthesist by trade, but came across a Swede (so I thought)
a couple years ago for dirt cheap, so I bought it. After
noticing a bizarre interconnect and a "useless" switch, I tore
the thing apart, only to find the body stuffed full of hardware
and what appeared a completely wired neck (i.e., every fret was
     "hot").

I think what I've got is a Swede body with Patch 2000
electronics and interface. The problem is, I can't find the
"Patch 2000" part of the synthesizer. Supposedly it's a floor
box (not unlike the old ARP AVATAR) with a footpedal. Hagstrom
doesn't exist anymore, and from what I can determine, the
     interface was a resounding thud.

Anybody know for sure? Anybody know someone who has one?
Did/does it really work? IF (1 .AND. 2 .AND. 3) THEN anybody
got one they'd like to get rid of?

BTW, I just discovered this notesfile. I've been digging all
over the Enet for something such as this. Glad to come on
     board :-) ...

I've never heard of a Patch 2000, but my suggestion would be to write to
Guitar Player magazine and ask if THEY'VE ever heard of it. I don't have the
address with me right now, if you can't find the magazine send mail to me
and I'll post the address here.
