This note is along the lines of Dennis Savage's note regarding IBM PC MIDI software, except I am interested in software for the Commodore or the Apple. I have been reading various reviews of software for the IBM but I can't afford one so must opt for a cheaper alternative. Please also provide hardware configuration data on what is needed to run the software (e.g. Roland MPU401, how much memory, etc.) Thanks, Derek

If you're looking for something cheap, I've got a deal for you. I wrote
some software for the Apple II, 48K and MPU-401 that you can have for the
price of a floppy disk and postage. The documentation is a little sparse
(1 1/2 pages) and the user interface is a little terse, but you can't beat
the price!
The program is essentially a sequencer plus editor for any MIDI device, and
contains special support for the Yamaha DX-7 and Roland SBX-80. If you have
64K and the ORCA/M assembler you can modify the program, for example to add
special support for your devices.
