| Thank you for the instrument definition. I entered it into my DX7 over the
weekend, and it really does sound like a bagpipe! At least, it sounded
like a bagpipe after my wife showed me how to play it--you need a 1/5
interval in the base, very regular, plus the melody. Almost any melody
will do, she made one up as she went along.
I do have some nits about the presentation. The line "OPERAND" should be
"OPERATOR", and it should be one line lower, since the first line after it
does not have per-operator settings. Except for that, and a little fumble
fingerdness, I had no trouble following the instructions.
How about some more information about this magazine, it sounds like
something I'd like to subscribe to.

| Is it in English? (I'll probably get it even if it isn't, but I'd get more
out of an English edition.) How much do they want for a U.S. subscription?
Will they accept U.S. dollars? (I would expect these answers to be found
near the front of the mag; if you can answer them it will save me a
round-trip mail time to Europe. Isn't electronics wonderful?)

| re: .3--GOTHIC is a very interesting sound, and I definitely like the PIANO
instrument: it is brighter than the pianos in ROM. The low notes sound
like the strings are a bit loose, though.
I don't know what to make of GILASPERPLE. I couldn't achieve a 3.40
frequency ratio on operator 2; I set it to 3.39 instead. Also, there is no
H note for breakpoint on operators 1 and 4. I used b-flat (A#) instead.
The instrument name is too long for storage; I eliminated the final E.
After those changes I may not have gotten the instrument intended. I don't
know what a Gilasperple is, but it sounded like somebody rubbing a wet
finger on a thin-walled water glass. Definitely memorable.

| hello,
The magazine is in Dutch. I cannot answer your other questions because
the front page doesn't give me this information.
