Hi Would any body know where I could possibly get a copy of the OSF/1 v1.0 or later for mips ? thanks Jason

Jason,
As far as I am aware there is NO later version of OSF/1 that will run
on the MIPS platforms. The only versions that did run I believe were
very early pre-release version, which I think it was 'Bronze' or
'Silver'. If you need to run Digital UNIX aka OSF/1 you will need an
Alpha machine of some description.

Actually, there was a version of OSF/1 for MIPS (V1.0). That's DEC OSF/1 for Alpha started at V1.2 and not at V1.0. I probably have a copy of Tin somewhere but it isn;t worth digging up. I'd use NetBSD/pmax instead (and it supports *shared* libraries). | |||||
