We have just booked our tour of the Raucous.
We will be driving from/via... Calgary...Banff...Jasper...ClearWater....Kamloops....
Rogers Pass....Calgary....
we will be starting the tour 15th Of August.
I have not got a clue what the local climate will be like and the wife is
starting to bug me on what to pack?
Will this be Tee shirt & Shorts ?
or Jeans & Shirt ?
or Warm cloths ? Time of year.
Any help please.

P.S. It was touch and go finding hotel rooms in Banff and Jasper , but I managed
it in the end (And after about 50 phone calls).

I'd have to recommend taking both hot and cold weather clothing.
I lived in Calgary for 13 years and in the time I was there I'd
seen days in every month of the year when you would wish you
were wearing shorts and t-shirt one day and a ski-jacket the
next. I've seen an accumulation of snow on the ground in all
12 months (but never all in the same year).
But for your average day in Calgary in August you might want to wear
shorts and t-shirt at mid-day but definitely need jeans and a jacket
in the evening or early morning.
When you're in the moutains that time of year jeans and t-shirt
with a jacket handy if you're over 5,000 feet would be my
recommendation.
