928.0. "CAPE BRETON HIGHLANDS N.S." by CHEFS::RUANEV () Thu Jun 01 1995 10:03
Last October I Spent a couple of days in Cape Breton Highlands N.P.
I shall be going back this autumn intending to pick up a back country
pass and walk west to east stopping to camp more or less half way
across. I have a map of the park which indicates that the total
distance will be about 40 miles. This equates to about 2 day's
trekking.
I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who's already walked this route,
basically from Cheticamp to Ingonish. On the map it looks pretty boggy
in the centre, (blackfly, mosquito territory). I'd alsoo be pleased to
hear of any Bear or Lynx sightings.
