Can anyone recommend an inexpensive place to stay in Calgary, near the
airport. My only requirements would be clean, safe, with plenty of hot
water!
I just need an overnight, after a week long bike tour from Banff to
Jasper, before returning home. The date is late August, if that
matters.
Thanks
Martha

It might not be inexpensive, but you might want to check out the
Sheraton Cavalier. It's just 5 minutes south of the airport and has a
couple of indoor water slides!

The Sheraton Cavalier is an excellent hotel, but, expect to pay approx.
$90.00 for the night. There is an area in NW Calgary (Crowchild Trail
near 16Ave NW -- across from McMahon Stadium) known as Motel Village.
There is about 10-15 motels in this strip with a wide assortment of
ammendities and price ranges. 16 Ave NW is the #1 hwy from Banff,
giving easy access.
Have a great trip.
