| Well, when I hear the Gov won't cut as deeply as they need to to "sell"
Canada in Quebec, I say "Maybe we ***WOULD*** be better off without
Quebec."
When I hear the political unrest caused but Quebec effects our intrest
rates I think "Maybe we ***WOULD*** be better off without Quebec."
When I hear the wording of the referendum question dramatically effects
the result I say, "Maybe they don't have a clue, and why should we keep
paying for the "free" clues we give them with bribes, a low dollar and
high interest rates."
If France likes the idea of a seperate Quebec, maybe they should provide
the money for the winter Olympics.

Maybe you would explain the benifit Canada gets from this seperatist
agenda ?
If not .... You get the picture.

When you have ****anything**** to contribute to the discussion, it
might be a pleasure to hear from you.
By the way, what were the advantages to Canada of the seperatist agenda.
You know, the one that you feel does not need to be brought to the light of
day. Live in your whirly-twirly world with your pants around your
ankles for all I care, just get off my back for pointing out what a
crappy deal this seperatisim is for all Canadians. (unless of course
you have a counter point.... I thought not.)

| 2000 humm thats only 5 years away (boy I'm getting old)
Ok predictions
Q will still be a part of Canada.
Q will still be threatening to separate (and no one will care)
The economy will be better and the debt will be on a slow downward
spiral.
The regionalist parties (except the block) will expand to the ROC
Welfare will continue as is
CPP will eventually be indexed to earning
UI will be restructured to put more burden on seasonal employers
Health Care will continue to be eroded until there is a major scandal
and public outcry in 2002. (or there about)
Ok thats my shot.
Any one care to make a similar prediction about Digital's future ???

And what was that benifit ?? You guys make me laugh... Complain about
someone who has the nerve to say seperatists are a problem, but don't
make a peep about the people trying to destroy Canada.
As a matter of interest (there will be no answer, but I ask just to
make the point) why is it wrong to complain about a group who want to
destroy the country that I live in, and happen to believe (along with
the UN) is the best country to live in in the world.

Derek,
Making a point is great, but incessant whining about the
same subject year after year is not.
If you are so fired up about this issue, then run for office
and do something constructive.

Why does everybody think that the financial world revolves around Canada?
The most famous one is the GST: The GST is introduced, and the world
plunges into a global recession! (or was that the Made in Canada
recession...I forget :))
More recently, it seems that everytime our dollar is under attack, we
immediately blame the separatist agenda. Did it occur to people that
that other factors may have been at work, such as:
1. The Mexican Peso crisis
2. The earthquake in Japan (which saw global stock markets tumble)
3. A tightening money policy in the US which is resulting in higher
interest rates(due to inflation fears)
Anybody out there feel like looking at the "global" picture?
Mike.

Would you please respond in an intelligent manner. The only
statements I ever see coming from your node in any discussion are
hapless-random-thought-patterns. I'll stop here since your span
of attention seems to come in brief spurts,

2) can you get it in .BPM format to use as MS/Windows wallpaper ?
3) are they shareware ?
PS. to whomever it concerns: it is "sepAratist", not "sepEratist"!

| J.P., I suggest you learn to relax. If you thought I was making fun of
your reply, you're paranoid. I was applauding your reply.
If people wish to remain grim who am I to stand in there way? I'm
afraid at this point procuring a sense of humour wouldn't do much good
as these take years of honing, much prayer and supplication and a deep
sense of divine silliness.
I predict that in the year 2000 and beyond, Canadians will begin to
lose their sense of humour and the U.S. will have to start manufacturing
more funny people to compensate.

| There you go again. Do you really think I think it's funny?
If Canada does break up, will it be the end or will people manage to
get on with life? I think we'll all manage just fine whether Quebec
separates or not don't you?
If history teaches anything, it teaches that nations are not sacred.
Oh, pardon me, I'm being hapless and random again.
