718.0. "the Grand Prix du Canada" by SIETTG::SMITH (Consulting is the Game) Wed Jun 16 1993 15:11
I'm curious who else attended the "Grand Prix du Canada"
that was held in Montreal last weekend (June 11,12,13)?
I attended Sunday, June 13, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, and
had a great time. The actual race was from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm,
and they had a "Stanley Cup Parade" around the track before
the race began. note: They kept 'the Cup' on display in the
Grandstand for the duration of the race. Digital was a minor
sponsor of the Ferrari car that finished in fourth place.
regards,
Bob

718.2 | had to declare the Sunburn | SIETTG::SMITH | Consulting is the Game | Thu Jul 01 1993 17:03 | 16 |
| re: .1
Jean, I expected alot more replies from Canadian DECies
to my baseline Note about the Grand Prix du Canada. I always
thought that Canadians had a deep love and appreciation for
automobiles. Where are all of the Canadian race fans hibernating.
note: the Grand Prix du Canada was definitely worth the trip
from Boston to Montreal via automobile. The only thing that
I had to declare at the Border crossing when returning to
the States was a really bad Sunburn. It seemed like Montreal's
weather that particular day was like the weather that I'd
encountered in Texas during mid-Summer a few years ago.
