I can't remember the highway numbers but I'd go through Vermont on
I think Interstate 89 and cross the border at St. Albans, Vermont. At
that point you go north through Iberville(?) to Montreal.
Coming home if you have more time I'd leave Montreal going East on
Autoroute 10. Cross the border at Rock Island, Quebec and head south
through New Hampshire.

| No! No! Don't cross the border at St. Albans! By the time you get to
Iberville you will need to get a four wheel alignment done. Believe me!
They haven't repaved there in 20 years! Plus, it's a 3 lane killer
highway. (passing lane in the middle)
89 is the best way but cross over to Rouses Point on the other side of
Lake Champlain and take I87 to the border.

I crossed at St.Albans in April and I didn't think it was that bad.

| And, should you decide to return to Boston, via 87 south,
to route 2 (ny) over the Berkshires (becomes Mass 2 at Ma/Ny line),
You'll find some nice scenery (especially if you detour off the
interstate from time to time), but, while on 87, be careful to
A. _OBEY_ the speed limit...
or
B. Use a (unlawful in Quebec, I think) Radar Detector..
or
C. Meet one of the _many_ state troopers who seem to just
materialze out of no place on that road.
FWIW, If you take 89 thru Vt, and will be travelling after around 8 pm,
and be desirous of something better than "fast food", 'bout all
I can say is, good luck. You won't find much on the US side.
Enjoy your trip.

Hello Montreal,
Could someone please provide direction to get to Cote Des Neige, I
will be coming in from hi-way 401. The place I am looking for is
actually a church. Saint Kevin Parish Church. I also need to know if
there are hotels/motels along Cote Des Neige.
Merci,

| The 401 will get you to 40, follow that to 15 south (sud here), take
exit for Van Horne, turn left on Van Horne. When you reach Cte des
Neiges, turn right (this I'm not sure of so check the adresses).
Saint Kevin is at 5600 Cte des Neiges (514-733-5600).
Jean
If St Kevin is a BIG church, I remember a BIG church on the left from
Van Horne.

| I've made the trip several times this fall from Northboro. It's taking
me 5 1/2 hours with a 20 minute lunch stop.
I tried 91 last time. Big mistake !
