    even a blind man can see this "moderation" is anything but moderate. I
    suggest they either quit, or leave the political axe they are grinding

	I agree with the base note. This conference has become nothing but a 
	big joke. (LITERALLY) At this point it seems the only thing to do for 
	the moderators is to resign. No one is enjoying the conference and no
	one seems to support the moderators except the moderators.

    Hey how about ME as a moderator, I would set all replies I didn't like
    hidden and probably only allow entries in french.

    I used to be a constant onlooker of this particular conference. I
    enjoyed seeing a location that was for the CANADIAN in all of us,
    French, English and yes even those from the Grand Canal. Canadians
    are typically not a very vocal group, it was nice to see a topic of
    current events which did not contain Waco Texas, George Bush or some
    Euorpean country at war.
    
    	Political topics bring the soap boxer out in all of us, there is
    always a fraction which might be offended or hurt. It is the moderators
    function to try and bring things back to order, this is typically done
    through a entry which corrects the flow of discussion, or rightfully
    demands an apologie.
    
    	When I see notes set hidden or deleted, and then 10 notes asking
    what was wrong, well! I just quit wasting my time and move on to a 
    conference which makes sense!

    This might have been the initial issue, but it is not the catalyst for
    what is driving this note! "NO ONE" likes to be told when to go to
    bed, to eat all their vegatable. The issue is MODERATION requires tact 
    not enforcement. Teach and show people the errors of their ways and the
    will learn.  Ie. Build it and they will come...

    The problem with this conference is the moderators, their ever
    increasing set of rules, and their lousy moderatorship...
    
    The moderators should either relax or retire, with the latter being

as the moderator, but only to loosen the reins a wee bit!  Lockyer - no

    Why not come in and check the COLORADO notes file, we just about got
    closed down by HRO for the discussion going on regarding Christians and
    non-christians.  
    
    The Moderators were forced to act or we loose.  I would not like to see
    the Canadian conference closed, better to act first, than not act.
    
    I nominate the people who are complaining about the moderation to be
    the new moderators.  Let them read up and understand all of the items
    that are to be disallowed, and how to keep the conference on the air.
    
    Bet there would be a lot less gripes.

    Thanks for agreeing that there should be new moderators.  Yours is not
    the first note to propose new moderators, but I suspect that your note
    will get the usual response from the current moderators - absolutely
    none.  Replacing the current moderators, or even adding additional (mor
    moderate?) ones, has about the same probability of happening as Sadaam 
    Hussein inviting Bill Clinton to govern Iraq...

    While I personally didn't hide 691.22, I can tell you why it's hidden
    by asking everyone to avoid profanities and swear words ... 

    Nope, just wanted you to say that Royer was not a Canadian Name, when
    in Quebec or Montreal.  St. Nere� added because that is where my 
    Grand-p�re was born, my Grand-m�re nearby in Armagh.  
    
    5 percent beer is not too bad if Canadian... However budweiser comes
    from the Clydesdale horses, why do you think they have the horses?
    
    Americans (I am one by birth) do not usually make beer, just colored
