675.0. "Applying for a patent" by KAOT01::M_MORIN (Le diable est aux vaches!) Mon Apr 05 1993 15:01
Has anyone applied for a patent in Canada and/or he U.S?
If so can you fill me in on the process? I received an information package
from the patent office that explains the application costs but nothing about
the costs of a patent agent.
My neighbour just got his patent and he said that the total process took 3 years
from start to finish, and that the total cost of everything together was about
$10,000.
Thanks,
/Mario

| That sounds about right from what I've heard .... :-( terrible isn't
it! ... The lawyers win every time ...
The best thing is to go for an initial consultation with a Patent
Lawyer.
