| Nova Scotia, in the Yarmouth area got about a foot fo snow..I heard
that Moncton and St Stevens area got 3-4 feet of snow with 10 ft
drifts. I would expect that St John's has 2-3 feet and the white stuff
is glowing around the Nuke Power plant...my guess only.

| My wife and I (and dogs Bob and Raye) were on our way to PEI in the middle of
that storm. (It's real tough to get good weather forecasts for the Maritimes in
New England.) We spent Saturday and Sunday at the Bluebird Motel in Sussex, NB
while waiting for the roads to clear and the ferries to run.
From what we saw and read:
Moncton received 161 cm of snow over the weekend of 31-Jan to 2-Feb. Cap Pele
had rooftop-high drifts. Hurricane force winds (140km/hr+) for most of the
weekend. My in-laws, on the east end of PEI, were snowed in for three days. We
followed the plow to their house. The Maritimes received another 30-40 cm
midweek. It was snowing again on Saturday, 8-Feb, when we left, snowing all the
way to Massachusetts.

| I live in Nova Scotia and work out of the Hlaifax office of Digital. We
had 60 cm of snow , it started on friday evening and ended sunday
evening. On wednesday we received another 25 cm. Forecast is for more
snow this weekend , unsure of how much. My poor back can"t take much
more shoveling.

| How is it that so many people are willing to put up with the nonsense of having
the power attachments on the back of those M-F tractors? As we drove along we
saw people clearing 1 km driveways, driving backwards in the snow and the wind
and the cold. One person told me that he had a plow attachment for the front of
his tractor, but he'd have to raise and lower it manually; all of the hydraulics
are in the back.
