I haven't heard much news about the recent BC election. Can someone supply an update. What were the final counts, # of seats per party and % of popular vote each party received? How is the new government being received by the various lobby groups ( Business etc ). When is the budget due? Cheers Philip

NDP 57 Social Credit 17 Liberal 8 Numbers are from memory only. As a % of the popular vote I think the split was alongs the lines of 40/30/30 ie it didn't match the number of seats very closely at all. There were major changes in that Social Credit 'strongholds' (Fraser Valley, Richmond, Okanagan) went to one or other of the other parties. Rita Johnson (the previous premier lost her seat) | |||||
