| >> - housing pricing in Toronto & Ottawa (rental & purchase)
Ottawa is much cheaper than Toronto either renting or buying. You can
still find houses for 100k and rental in the under 600/mo bracket in
Ottawa. That would be real tough to do in Toronto.
>> - car prices
Car prices are similar in both cities. Tercel goes for about 9k,
Supra goes for 35k. DEC offers a car lease plan which works out
well for most employees.
>> - where our DEC offices are located in these two cities
TRO and TRC are the two Toronto offices. TRC is located in the
downtown area on University Ave. TRO is located north of the downtown
area just south of the 401 on Yonge St. This is a major
North-South/East-West intersection. Both locations are easily
accessible by public transit.
OTO is the Ottawa office. There are also plants in Hull CHO (?) and
Kanata (KAO) which are within 15 minutes of OTO. OTO is located
at Baseline and Woodruff and is a sales/marketing (with other stuff)
office. KAO is a manufacturing plant (with other real good stuff)
while CHO is primarily a field service/training facility.
>> - how I can get information on available jobs in these two cities.
>> I'm looking for a pre-sales or project management job. I have pre &

Check with personnel for DEC jobs. I noticed that Canadian jobs
don't always get posted on VTX.
Mail me if you need more info.

| I work in the Ottawa office, and let me tell you, we're LAYING off
support people, not hiring 'em.
