    what T.V. format do you use in Canada ? I'm thinking of sending a
    film over from the U.K. . Is it the same as the states ( NTSC ) ?

    tape from PAL/SECAM (European) to NTSC in Ont.? We would like to send some

The new $2000 Panasonic multi system VCR will do conversions.

I know a DEC employee who is paying for his recent purchase by doing
conversions for a few dollars less than what commercial shops charge.

I've had conversions PAL to NTSC and NTSC to PAL done here in Toronto.  
Including the price of the video tape, it cost me under $35 for 1� hours 
recording.  Service is 1-2 days.

There are quite a few places in Toronto offering this service.  Black's Camera 
stores advertise the service, but don't display prices.
