Hello,
I am looking for information about traveling to Newfoundland from
the Boston area. I know I have 2 options land or sea. Can anybody give
me advice on what is the most economical/speediest route to take. I
am planning on making a number of trips up there so that is why I am
asking.
I guess Air Canada would be my best bet? Also anybody know if I
should fly out of Logan? Or would it be cheaper to flying out of New
Hampshire or Maine? Any information that you all could provide would
be appreciated...

Oh, really? I'm not sure how you get there overland, but I've been
twice, the first trip going over to Port aux Basque from North Sydney
and returning from Argentia, the second time North Sydney<->Argentia.
Argentia is the longer trip, but it makes sense if your destination is
on the Avalon Peninsula.
Were you wondering whether to go overland or by ferry to get to Nova
Scotia? One time we took the Portland to Yarmouth ferry, but you still
have to drive all the way up Nova Scotia to Cape Breton. It's good if
you're leaving after work on a Friday night and can get a cabin on the
ferry. Either way it takes you about 1 1/2 to 2 days to get to North
Sydney from Boston.
