| Not a great deal really ...
If you are a smoker, you'll pay 3c more per cigarette!
The silly service has had a cap put on their salary increases for
the next three years of 3% per year (but they usually seem to have
ways of getting around that ... like merit increases)
Transfer payments to the provinces were messed around with again,
which basically means that the provinces have to find more money,
so we'll get hit by them instead of the feds.
Most everyone is predicting doom and gloom as a result of the budget,
because it does nothing to ease teh recession, and at the same time
Crow is still talking about wrestling inflation down to around 2%.

47.6 this morning but I filled up for 99.9 per US gal yesterday in
Michigan.
Watching Market place last night they did a blurp on the octane levels
that dropped on the low grade gas when they came out with the 3 grades
instead of 2. Low grade is now 87 octane but used to be 89 but this has
been very silently slipped in on us.

| Complain, complain! I got 20 Irish pounds worth of petrol (i.e. gas)
yesterday and I think I got 33 litres which works out to 60.6 Irish
pence per litre which at today's rate of exchange 2.0040 cents to the
pound equals $1.21 per litre. And you guys think you got it bad.
Ted.(who'd still rather be home in Canada)
