| Tamas, give us your itinerary so that those of us in Ottawa, Toronto,
Sarnia, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver (oh ya, Montral) will know whether
or not it will be feasible to have a few jars with ya, lad!
I'll get hold of some Glumpf as long as you DO NOT bring over some of
that Szekszardi Voros (sp) rot gut. At one time it was available in
Ontario but no one could pronounce the name so it was known variously by
it's order number, 1149 or it was called 'Sex on Saturday'.

Ya know for being a non-Hungarian Pat you sure do know lots about
Hungarian kinda stuffs....next time try Egri-Bikaver(sp?)..if you
like bulls blood red vino(yuck)...or...Debrescenyi Surkebarat(sp?)
for white. Now that my tongue is tied in knots from those words and
my brain from trying to spell them...I think I'll do some work
and really screw up.

However once you have arrived... come to the Edmonton Dec office and
I'm sure we can accomodate you.

What I thought is that as soon as I got myself sorted out (which would
not take longer than two days) I am ready for anything and open for
suggestions regardrink that matter ( SZESZ, that's for those Hungarians
and Checkgarians, etc...); BTW, it's called Badacsonyi Szrkebart...
My thirst thoughts were:
Sunday, 26th August 1990, yes that's a Sunday and that's all I know
about it. I don't know the local customs, opening closing hours etc.,
but I'm sure ( or at least hopeful) that we could find some place to
gether around a quiet or noisy table to pass some time by some
alcoholic stuff (preferably not after shave...) and get to know each
other a bit better for once (maybe I'm the only one who doesn't know
the others, but that's beside the point). If you think that this time
isn't really the best, then say so (who gives a dam' , you must come
and that's final!) and we could arrange something else instead, but
make it soooooooooooooooon 'cos by the time I get up there I'll be
stone dry, you don't want this, do ya ?
P.s.: yesterday for some reason I could not cconnect or mail any node
in Canada, sorry for the delay.
Yours Dryfully ( and reasonably
thirstfully too) still

If you are saying that this session is going to be in Edmonton
on Sunday, 26 August, I seriously doubt that I can make the 2,000Km trip!
However, I will be in Banff from 6-9 Sept. but without a car. If you want
to see a part of the Canadian Rockies and a great town for pubs, drop down
to Banff (about a 3 hour drive from Edmonton) and we can get together.

| Hello Ron!
RE .11
Are you working on that Friday I'm coming to Edmonton?
I'll be arriving @15:00.
It's quite easy to convince me that we should have something to drink
on Friday as well!!!
When, where and How???
BTW, that's for everybody:
if you could give me your proper phone numbers (NOT the internal
Digital) I will probably be able to contact you lot while in Edmonton.
Regards!

| Tamas, I don't know what the schedule is for Banff; however, I believe
I'll be free on Friday and Saturday (7-8 Sept) until about 6PM each
day. There are plenty of great pubs in Banff and the location is
out of this world.
Call me at work at 613-591-4996 between 7AM - 3PM Edmonton time, or
at home at 613-256-2179 between 4PM - 8PM Edmonton time. Then I will
be able to get your number in Edmonton and give you a call when I
arrive in Calgary. If that is not possible, you can contact me at
the Banff Springs Hotel from 6-8 Sept., ask information for the hotel
telephone number. Ask the hotel for Joan or Pat Rushton.

When I was there in March, the King Eddy was a shell! It was completely
gutted as they were renovating it. Unless they work incredibly faster in
Banff than in the rest of the country, I don't think the King Eddy will
be ready for drinking inside, maybe outside on the main drag while you're
watching the construction though.

| Is this note still alive?
2.5 years delay, but finally I made it back in DEC (Canada).
There's a lot that happened in that past few years, but it's too long
to put in "a note", so maybe (!) we should re-think that idea of
'get-together'! But more about this in a later note, a new entry on
the long list.
Last but not least, I want to say thanks for Pat's (Kaorf Barbunk) and
Ron Ryan in Edmonton in helping me getting started, and make me feel
much more welcome here! Sorry Ron, that I missed you in Edmonton, and
kind of suddenly moved down to Toronto, but it really looked bad
(workwise) in alta, and luckily in To. a job came my way faster (in 4
months) and has been working here since (first in Min. of Tourism &
Rec, then in Min. of Health, now at last back in the real world: at DEC
in Toronto (@TRO)).
So, I'm back.
Looking forward to some good 'noting'!

That's the one! You must be really happy no more silly questions from
Min. Of Health... not from me anyway...
Now I get to answer a few of those here in the TRO IOC.
But this is much better an environment than Health.
BTW. I seem to have missed a good notes-fight on bilingual issues,
etc... what a shame, I guess Derek Street (not mentioning any names)
made up for it all. I thought he went to Colorado too?!
Later,
/Tamas. (H.D.B.)
