When some individuals who are being deported become violent, the solution is to restrain them with handcuffs and straps, or have them deported with a medical escort. As the individual could cause harm to other passengers and possibly endanger the entire flight, the method of restraint has been left to the authorities; thus, in some cases it was deemed necessary by the medical escort to administer some medication. This does open up the possibility of a discussion about ethics. Pat |
