I have a friend that is getting married in July, she and her
fiance are plannin to honeymoon in Nova Scotia or Prince Edward
Island for 10 days. Here are a few questions they wanted me
    to ask.

    1. Ideas on how to get to these Islands.
    2. Places to stay on the ocean i.e B&B or Cottages
    3. Romantic settings ??
    4. Places to go/eat?
    5. Any ideas you can give would be appreciated?

    Thanks,
    Mary Jo

I'm suprised no one has responded to this yet. I would go to the
local chapter of the AAA and get some brochures and maps of the
areas of interest. They usually have ton's of tourist information
since tourism is one of the main summer industries of the Maritimes.

Check out Lunenburg, Nova Scotia . It's a small town on the south
east shore about an hour from Halifax. July is usually hot in Nova
Scotia but being near the shore cools things off a few degree.
There is lots of local history to see, and good food. You could
spend a day walking around the town checking out the shops with-out
feeling rushed or harrassed. Also the drive from Halifax along
the shore has some of the most famous sea vista's Nova Scotia is
known for.(Peggie's Cove.) I'm an ex-Nova Scotian and I was there
last year. I visit Nova Scotia every few years and I always remember
the charm of the small towns and villages. Any book on Nova Scotia
will point out these spots but my favorites are

Annapolis Royal (old English Fort, good restaruants)
Lunenburg	(German heratige and shipbuilding tradition)
Wolfville	(Land of Evangline , French Acadian Heratige)

Thank you Brian for your suggestions, I was also surprised that noone
answered, But there are many similar notes. I have extracted many
ideas from those, but I am still looking for Romantic places for them
    to escape to.

    Thank you again for answering,

As I mentioned in another note, check out Tancook Island, south of
Halifax. It might suit their bill as a nice get-a-way place.
