I was just wondering if any of our Canadian friends ever attend
any of the numerous Fiddle Contests all around Canada.
The reason I ask is because I and my family travel to Ontario and
Quebec to attend and compeat in many in the course of each year.
I have two daughters that do the fiddling and I'm the driver/money
pit. We are heading to Shelburne, Ont. this weekend for the Canadian
Open Fiddle and Step dancing championship. (Which will be on CBC
radio Sat. night at 9pm.)
Later on this month we will head into Que. and then back to Pembroke,
Ont. for a Labor Day Contest.
If anyone has an interest, please reply or send me mail. I enjoy
meeting as many Dec friends as I can.

I enjoy them but never hear about them; I live away from the City
in farm country and perhaps that cuts me off from the routine advert-
ising channels.
Is most of the information associated with these events restricted
to local posters, or perhaps Country and Western style radio, or
perhaps from word of mouth???
