| Bernie,
Try taking a trilp on BC Rail out of Victoria. The drive from
Victoria is quite a scenic way to see what's north of the capital
city. Nanimo has some unique shops and resturants that you will
enjoy.

| I don't know if all the folks know about Nanimo bars. It's like a
minty chocolate brownies is the best that I can describe the
taste. My sister makes them all the time. I'll try to get her
recipe for Nanimo bars.

Your forgot to mention those little things can take out all your
teeth with cavities in one bite. Filthy rich choclate and sugar.
If you don't loose your teeth you gain 100 pounds just looking at
them.
But, uuuummmmm goooood.

| Had a great trip and ONE Nanaimo Bar - and it was FREE at the Tourist
Office in Nanaimo.
Spent 90% of my time fishing off Comox - caught about 8 Salmon,
had to throw back 6, the size limit was increased to 24 -1/2 inches
this year. I would go back again to this region for the fishing.
Road travel out of this region was tough, narrow roads, and the
traffic in and out of Nanaimo was VERY heavy, mid-week; so heavy
we decided not to play the tourist, but to stick with fishing.
I would recommend the Comox/Campbell River area for Spring Salmon-
Fishing to anyone who has the urge. Up to the end of June is good
anywhere along this area; after June the Commercial boats abound
and rod/reel sports-fishing falls off.
I will definitely go back anytime.
