176.1 | Yer looking for Joe in NY, NY? | KAOM25::TOMKINS | This MIND left blank INTENTIONALLY | Tue May 09 1989 10:06 | 9 |
| Depending on whether or not you want to buy yer beer in cans or
bottles, cans are just shy of $24.00 CAD and bottles are less. Please
take yer cans or yer bottles back for a refund and do not leave
them at the side of the road.
Depending on where and from whom you buy yer gas, and of course
what kind of gas, we have as many as four different blends unleaded
gas and at least two leaded gas blends. Anyhow I have seen prices
ranging from 46.9 cents/litre and as high as 54.0 cents/litre.
Hope that answers your questions.

176.2 | Buying gas is easy, filling up takes time | KAOM25::RICHARDSON | He who laughs best | Tue May 09 1989 10:28 | 10 |
| Re. The Gas.
The only pain about buying gas up here is that it's only sold
in 1 litre cans, which I make a point of throwing on the side of
the road. Last time I filled up it took me nearly an hour, you should
have seen the pile of cans I left on the side of the road along
with my old socks and underwear and not to mention my living room
furniture.

When I go to get my oil filled, I have them check the gas.
They usually refill it for me - at no extra cost. 8>)

| Re: .2 & .3
Air is really expensive...one litre of Thurso air is about CA$2.
Some people have resorted to producing their own air, if they have gas.
This is cheaper than buying but you have to use an adapter to attach to
the tire valve...and it can be painful, just try pumping up your tires
with "nature's little gas" to a pressure of 220 kilopascals.
By the way, PetroCanada will no longer issue bonus coupons for
purchases of air unless it is a beverage ("Hi, I'd like a can of fresh
air and two straws"). The same applies to the purchase of water unless
it is a meal ("Hi, I'd like a bowl of water and two toothpicks"). However,
flatus is free (if you get my drift), if used to pump up your tires using
the PetroCanada Model 1AH Bottom Adapter.
Richard Tomkins is saving up for a rubber duck for his bath, so
send all of your empties to him.

| What does your average Irving dealer along the TransCanada charge to
change the winter air to spring/summer air in your tyres? I won't
have a chance to change mine before we (possibly) head up to N.B. in
August.
thnx,
Kip
ps- I don't have 'metric' tyres.. will this affect the cost??

Winter air - summer air. Hmmmmm.
I'm surprised that the Kanata::Klownz who authored the previous
replies (does that make them replicants?), let this one go.
This had the potential to be another "Snow Bags" series and they
passed it up.
