Sorry Don, I've skipped curling for years because it wrecks
my hair, but my wife still curls hers. I'd rather play "Shove ha'penny".

| Of course there are Roaring keeners here! Just call me Granite Junkie.
I've never had the chance to play Hackner, but I do remember missing
a week of classes the year the Brier was in town. And I did get
to meet the Swiss juniors in about '85 or '86, when we were on the
same plane coming east from the Winnipeg spiel (they fared a little
better than I did that year).
I think Hackner isn't all that hard to beat, but Hackner with Lang,
that's another story.

| Hi there!
I'm from Sweden and has played for about 11 years now. I play in
a rink that is among the top-15 in Sweden. I have never made it
to a championship, but I've beaten most of the Swedish World-Cup
teams.
I have also been an umpire during the Ladys World Championship
in Jnkping in '85. The Canadian Rink with Linda Moore won that
one (the best lady's team I've seen).
If you wish to have a chance to beat Ramsfjell come over to Sweden
next year in the end of October when we have our grand tournament.
We're planning to have a lot of Europe's best teams here...
Paul.
(Who has beaten Ramsfjell and Srum as well... :-) )
If there are any intrest in a Curling Conference I'll be happy to
host one.

| Curling Conference!!!
I'm very interested. Start it up please. I will contribute.
I live in Oakville, just outside of Toronto. I am a part time reporter
for the Ontario Curling Report. I play as a skip at least 4 times
a week.
I had the pleasure of watching Ed Werenich's team beat Russ Howard's
team last weekend in the finals of a cash spiel. Ed has John Kawaja
playing vice, and Hackner's old front end - Tetley and Perroud.
Ed and his team took home $10,500 plus trips to New York for a weekend.
So far this year, I have had the pleasure of interviewing Marilyn
Dart, Howard, Werenich and many other famous Ontario Curlers.
Better stop now and save some of this for a curling conference.
Until then...... keep them in front of the Tee-line.

If you press SELECT or KP7 (Key-Pad 7) while looking at .5 it will
add the curling conference to the notebook. Nice and easy with
minimal typing.

| Hello Paul,
I for one do love curling but I am surprised that I do not know
of anyone else in Digital Canada that curls.
Have you people in Sweden heard about Canada's famed Grand Canal?
I must bring this to an END,

| <<Have you people in Sweden heard about Canada's famed Grand Canal?
Ah, Paul? I would be very careful about Glenn's LEADing question
concerning the Grand Canal. Just SKIP over it, at least until he
gets his HOUSE in order. He only talks about our beloved canal
when he's two SHEETS to the wind, I don't how he can HACK that LINE.
I'll SECOND your comment about Canada being THE curling nation of the
world - what sort of curling irons do you use in Sweden?
BYE for now,
Pat

You guys are HOGGING all the answers. We should just SWEEP the bad
ones away.
You can DRAW your own conclusions about the Grand Canal but I would
say you were probably on the BUTTON if you ignored them.
Now if you want to RAISE some more issues, we should decide on a
rotation system for answers so we could all be IN TURN.
